   oh.  green eyes blink a few times,  sympathy within them as well as voice being obvious.  "  sorry to hear that.  "  obviously that was a little unexpected to hear from tenrec.  truth be told  —  whirl didn't really have a home of his own.  there was tails' workshop that hedgehog crashed in sometimes,  sure,  but that hardly counts.

   he could comment on it,  the bitterness in their voice  /  explain that he had no home to even remember in the first place  /  but opts not to.  "  't's not really a home,  but  —  ya ever need a place to just stay for a while ?  yer always welcome to chill in the garden.  "  not that whirl really expects offer to be taken  /  but it certainly can't hurt.
